Richard Bona - Jazz TM Festival (2013)

Richard Bona – Jazz TM Festival (2013). Grammy Award-winning jazz bassist Richard Bona was first inspired to play electric bass by the late Jaco Pastorius. Bona played with such artists such as George Benson, Joe Zawinul and Chaka Khan.

The Cameroon-born artist’s balletically light-stepping runs, lazily grooving ostinatos and rhythmic eruptions are what brings in the jazz fans, but it’s Cuban, Brazilian and Caribbean dance music, Afro-beat and African traditional songs gives his music a much broader appeal. If his ability to lead the band and the audience while playing killer bass lines impresses you, and his energy made you move, you should like this concert.
