Etienne M’Bappe – Nice Jazz Festival (2013). Bassist surrounds himself with a quintet of friends and trusted musicians to present his repertoire “Su La Také”. After having started the guitar self-taught in Cameroon, Etienne M’Bappé arrived in France and began his professional career.
Accomplice of Joe Zawinul, John McLaughlin, Salif Keita or Ray Charles on his last album, the bassist and singer presents his unique sound, at the crossroads of genres and countries. He is accompanied by a drummer who was a long time student of Jean-Paul Ceccarelli at the Nice Conservatory, the young Nicolas Viccaro.
