Great performance by Niacin – Live In Tokyo / Blue Note (1997). The jazz-fusion / prog rock group Niacin features bassist Billy Sheehan, keyboardist John Novello, and drummer Dennis Chambers. Sheehan is best known for his work with the likes of David Lee Roth, Mr. Big, and Talas. Chambers has recorded with the likes of Kevin Eubanks and Bob Berg. The band has recorded 4 studio albums and one live album since 1996. Great show! Awesome musicianship and artistry!
Their jazz fusion combines progressive rock and funky instrumentals in a jam filled format recorded from live concert at Tokyo’s Blue Note in 1997 (previously released as Live: Blood, Sweat & Beers).
