Performance by Larry Carlton & Big Band at SWR (2016). What a great and super tight big band. Highlights are of course “Room 335” in an interesting arrangement, but in my opinion not at least the simple “Friday Night Shuffle”, where Larry Carlton after a great virtuoso sax solo, plays his laid back blues lines with so much authority and with such a great tone and with no rush at all. At the end of the number there is one of these interesting Larry Carlton endings. Amazing concert and nice atmosphere.
