Eric Clapton - Live at Budokan (2001)

Eric Clapton – Live at Budokan, Tokyo (2001). Clapton is the perfect example of a bluesrock guitarist. He has his own style, feeling, passion, talent, technique and virtuosity. He knows and honors his blues roots and honors his heroes. To some extent, he was a pioneer in the blues. He’s not a dumb shredder who stands on stage to show off. He knows exactly where to go, how and when, but it doesn’t seem calculating, it seems natural. His guitar is his voice, he sings to them, cries to them, celebrates them. Eric is very honest and sincere when he plays. This is why Eric “Slowhand” Clapton is the best guitarist who ever lived for me.
